Older Women Dating Younger Men
Dating older women is a very common fantasy for young men. A study by AARP discovered that 34 percent of all women over 40 in the survey were dating and married to younger men, and 35 percent of them preferred it to dating older men. So, statically speaking, if there are 100 women, 34 of them wants to date with younger men and only 35 percent of them are opposite of that. There is also a term for this relationship–cougar (slang for an older woman looking for a younger man)

Older women dating younger men relationships are not always represented in a positive light. Most of time, great social pressure on the couples, especially on women, from friends, relative and family members, who will find the relationship difficult to understand or accept. This often forces couples to discreet for some time, which can also put damage on the relationship.
In the Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy, Caron says that even though the number of older woman-younger man dating appears to be increasing, society has far from embraced the idea. Furthermore, the volume of disrespect still seems directed unfairly at the reputation of the older women. If he or she permits the outside factors to distress their relationship, it is not likely to survive.
Although there are some difficulties and social pressure, these older women pairing with younger men relationships can work as long as the couple is happy with each other.
